So, it’s been a while…

If you’re reading this blog you may have noticed that there’s a BIG gap between this post and the one before. I got a little busy doing other things for a few years.

When I started work as an independent consultant back in October of 2013 I always said that if an opportunity that seemed too good to pass up presented itself, I’d explore returning to a traditional job. Over the summer of 2017 that happened.

I joined 8th Light as Chief Talent Officer and quickly added Chief Operating Officer to my responsibilities. While there I spoke about how we hired for potential not credentials, and designed and launched a very innovative approach to career development. I helped 8th Light grow from 120 to 170 employees and from 4 offices to 6 locations across the US and UK. I met amazing people and learned a ton. I traveled constantly, worked a lot doing things I’m really proud of and didn’t have time to write here.

But I missed consulting. So I said a tearful goodbye and came home.

It’s good to be back.
