Training in the Virtual Era

How do you provide training for your folks now that those multi-day, everyone in a big room workshops aren’t THE thing anymore? There are a bazillion fully online programs to learn everything. So that’s got to be the answer - right?

Nope.

Those multi-day everyone together sessions were never really that great - you couldn’t absorb everything being thrown at you, and didn’t have time to try out what somehow stuck in your brain.

Fully online courses aren’t so great either. There’s no shared accountability, no one to bounce ideas or questions off of, and you get what you get - there’s no customization to your, or your organization’s needs.

This is why Heather Corallo and I designed our Mindful Manager Training Program to be together-apart. We’ve crafted a cohort-based experience where we work with groups of coworkers in highly interactive (and fun) weekly virtual sessions. We shape the curriculum to the needs of the organization and the individuals. We spend 90 minutes together each week, discussing new concepts, challenging old ideas, and breaking into small groups to test and learn different ways to respond to real world situations managers face. #

Participants are assigned to small groups that stay consistent through the 10-week program, and hold each other accountable - for doing the homework, for taking on challenges like asking for feedback that might sting, and for helping each other be great managers long after the sessions are finished.

This format, and our content work! We’ve taken folks through this program at many companies over the past year, and still hear how much of an impact it’s had at the individual and organizational level. We’ll be doing our third cohort with one of these companies in the fall.

If you’re curious about how we can help you and your organization grow amazing managers, please reach out! Details about the program in the comments.
